From Papandopulo to Tchaikovsky - Opening the New Season!
The opening of the new concert season brings an exceptional musical event - a gala performance by the Zadar Chamber Orchestra under the baton of renowned maestro Ivan Repušić, taking place on Tuesday, October 20 at 8:00 PM in the magnificent setting of St. Chrysogonus' Church. Adding special significance to the evening is the guest appearance of Gordan Tudor, one of Croatia's most prominent saxophonists, who will perform for the Zadar audience in a dual role - as both soloist and composer.

The concert program has been thoughtfully curated to blend Croatian musical heritage, contemporary creation, and timeless classics. The evening opens with a performance of Boris Papandopulo's playful and witty Pintarichiana, followed by an intimate and exciting musical moment – the performance of a new version of the ARP Concerto for Alto Saxophone and String Orchestra by Gordan Tudor himself. The crowning moment of the evening will be one of the most beautiful works of Late Romanticism, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's magnificent and emotionally lavish Serenade for Strings in C major, Op. 48.
