In the unique ambiance of Zadar's Church of St. Donatus, a concert titled "Klapa Song in a Choral Musical Garb" will take place on Tuesday, June 9, starting at 7:30 PM. This musical event will feature the Mixed Choir Condura Croatica under the direction of conductor, composer, and music pedagogue, Professor Ivo Nižić.

The concert repertoire will feature selected combinations of traditional chants and original choral arrangements, with a special emphasis on Dalmatian melody, spiritual expression, and the Glagolitic tradition. The program is divided into secular and spiritual vocal compositions, highlighting numerous soloists and duets from within the choir itself. The choir will perform recognizable Dalmatian and klapa songs arranged by prominent Croatian composers and choir directors.

The Mixed Choir Condura Croatica Zadar was founded in January 2009, when Professor Ivo Nižić gathered former members of the Academic Choir of the University of Zadar, which had been active since the wartime year of 1992 and represented Zadar throughout Croatia and Europe. Building upon that tradition, the choir today performs vocal literature of Croatian and European heritage, spanning from the early Middle Ages to contemporary music. A special place in their repertoire is held by specific musical forms that originated in Zadar between the 12th and 14th centuries, such as liturgical dramas and Passion oratorios. Among the most famous works they perform are Križina, Zadnja postaja (The Last Station), Plač Gospoje (The Lament of Our Lady), and Svit za spasom vapije (The World Cries Out for Salvation), which are inspired by the Glagolitic heritage of the Zadar region and authored by the artistic director himself, Ivo Nižić. The choir has achieved numerous successes at domestic and international competitions, notably winning awards at the Cro Patria festival in Split, the International Choir Competition in Zadar, as well as the Aurora Cantat competition in Karlovac and Adria Cantat in Šibenik.
