In collaboration with the Association for the Development of DIY Culture

The new program of the Kulturvator workshop project is called Theremin Postcard. It is a workshop where participants will learn how to make a DIY theremin whose sound and buzz are modulated via a photo-sensor. The workshop is a real opportunity for participants to take home their own mini version of the theremin with very few electronic components.

Kulturvator is an audience development project of the Zadar Concert Office, which is realized with the financial support of the City of Zadar and the Ministry of Culture and Media. Its goal is to strengthen the existing audience and create new ones through the year-round implementation of interdisciplinary and multimedia content intended for children and young people from Zadar and the surrounding area, as well as the general public, whose basic starting point is music and musical culture. The idea of the project is to intertwine music with various forms of art and science through activities such as workshops, exhibitions, presentations, screenings, talks, concerts for children and families, and similar activities, and to bring associations, organizations, and individuals to Zadar who will encourage and inspire the end users of the program, all in line with the music programs that the Zadar Concert Office organizes during the Concert Season, and with the support and cooperation of local cultural and educational institutions. The name of the project Kulturvator is a play on the words culture and cultivator, or to cultivate, which in the context of the project would mean participating in the cultural life of one's environment, as well as building one's own identity through receiving and processing new knowledge, exchanging opinions, feelings, and experiences.
