Croatian Baroque Ensemble tonight in the Church of St Donatus
Tonight, at 9 PM, a concert by Croatian Baroque Ensemble will be held at the Church of St Donatus. This performance fittingly marks their 25th anniversary.

Croatian Baroque Ensemble is the most significant Croatian ensemble specializing in historically informed interpretations of music from the Baroque period and related eras, using original instruments and their replicas. The ensemble was founded in 1999, bringing together a younger generation of musicians who are passionate about authentic sound and stylistically conscious interpretations that align with the spirit and poetics of the time in which the music was created. The ensemble's director is the renowned violinist, Laura Vadjon.
In addition to their 20 years of concert cycles at the Croatian Music Institute in Zagreb, they are regular guests at numerous local and international festivals. Over the past two decades, the ensemble has collaborated with some of the world's finest artists specializing in Baroque music performance.
The programs of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble also feature Croatian composers, or those who worked in this region. The ensemble is credited with making the first permanent recordings of their works on period instruments from purified scores, free of editorial interventions.
